A week with…

A week with Mikaela Höök

All rounder Mikaela Lindholm Höök like to mix her style by her mood and do not want to be limited by trends. Her interest in fashion and design affects the choice of cities she will visit and reflects her curious side.

How would you describe your style?
– There is a vast mixture usually selected through today’s mood. One day, I love to be a 90’s kid through and through, while the next day I drive a more minimalist style, and the third day, especially in the summer, I love to go more to the bohemian side. Like not having to put in any sort of clothing bins and stick to it, love to experiment with new clothes and make something unique out of it. But when I like best is it enough when I go all in with a few sporty 90’s clothing from some nice vintage shop.
What would you say that fashion means to you?
– Fashion for me is not what is inside right now, it is something that you create and which will be unique to yourself. There is so much more than just a piece of clothing or outfit. It’s a way to show who you are, a way to convey a feeling and not least a way to show what you’re made of.
What would you say are your three favorites in your closet right now?
– My new leather jacket with fringe from River Island loves lashes and always goes home. My wide black trousers from Bik Bok, always works, if you are on the sofa, to be at work or out dancing. Biggest favorite is my Tits top which I designed myself, the tits are cozy and because you can not walk around naked on the town, you can have it on and atleast pretend.
What makes a perfect Saturday for you?
– Sleep-than though I wish I could say that I was one of those who went out and ran at 6 am, quiet cozy breakfast with my sweetheart (who live in Norway so we have time to type never seen), may stroll around hand in hand on the town and grab a coffee. Then the rest of the evening barbecue in a park with a bunch of lovely friends, playing guitar (not me, then I completely lack musical characteristics) until you can not sit out longer and then go in and dance away on some lovely patio.
What city in the world would you most like to visit?
– I’ve never been to New York and as a designer and fashion lovers it is a must for me. Would there and meet all the different cultures mixed in the same place. I want to experience the ultimate urban life, fly helicopters over the city, gather to me all the inspiration I can be of various people and street style: one and take lots and lots of pictures.
What are your three most played songs right now?
– It is a mixture of Future People with Alabama Shakes, No Type of Rae Stremmurd and Millionaire by Kelis feat Andre 3000. A mix just like me.
Do you have a style icon?
– Miley Cyrus- Queen M. Love that she is doing her very own thing, himself and no other, is girl power that is sufficient for many, and her style is raw.

ELLUI’s latest addition – the 24-year-old model Stina Almer who lives in Stockholm, is inspired by Cara Delevingne and own a wardrobe consisting Acne and Ann-Sofie Back. She impresses us with her edgy 185 cm, famous legs and ways of expressing fashion, private as well as in front of the camera.

What is the funniest photo shoot you’ve ever did?
– When I was honored to be a model for Naim Josefi’s design collaboration with John Walden. The photoshoot took place in a skate park in Rålambshovparken, Kungsholmen. It felt great to be booked for the job.
If you got to choose a photographer to work with, who would it be?
– Must answer Jolijn Snijders. She is the editor in chief and photographer for the magazine I LOVE FAKE. Her pictures are cheeky, colorful and edgy.
Who is your style icon?
– Definitely Cara Delevingne. I love how she in one picture can be elegant in a silk dress and in the next she turns funny while doing a fun grimace wearing a crazy hat.
Where do you prefer to go shopping?
– Weekday, Acne Archive, & Other Stories and second hand. Acne Archive is a dream for us who like Acne and can not afford to buy a jacket for 1500€. They sell out older collections  for great prices. Best thrift store in town is undoubtedly Stadsmissionen on Skånegatan. There you can bargain.
Do you stress up in the morning and dress in the first best you see or are you well planned?
– I never plan my outfis, I change style from day to day and dress in what makes me feel good in the moment. I might plan if I’m going to a fancy event.
Who are your three favorites on instagram?
– @caradelevingne, @fridabgustavsson and @ilovefake.
What are the three absolute favorites in your closet right now?
– I love t-shirts with prints and no one makes them cooler than Ann-Sofie Back. My sweater from there is an obvious favorite. Then we have my beloved Nike Air. They are a dream to wear and good looking. Third favorite is my big sweater from Acne. It keeps me warm and I love the design.
If you got to be someone else for one day, who would it be and why?
– Maja Ivarsson from the band The Sounds. In order to know how it is to be extremely agile and sing like a goddess.
What is your favorite product in your make-up bag?
– Im all about highlights. Thumbs up too much shimmer and highlighted cheekbones.
What inspires your style?
– Mainly fashion magazine ID Magazine and I LOVE FAKE, but also Pinterest. I love to surf around beautiful photographs and cool chicks.

A week with Amanda Malm

26-year-old Amanda Malm is the bohemian chic from Södermalm in Stockholm who run the summer club BLANC at F12. She pays tribute to the Australian fashion, would happily go dressed in leather pants every day and wishes to be Mick Jagger for one day – if he performs at a stadium that day.

Where do you get your inspiration from?
– Mostly artists and bands that I listen to. Much of the 60/70s rock. They had clearly the coolest styles! Type Jimi Hendrix, Patti Smith, Steven Tyler, Joan Jett.
You’ve lived in countries around the world. Do you have any favorite country when it comes to fashion?
– Then I must say Australia where I lived in last. There are many smaller upcoming brands that are just like the country itself, more laid back compared to the minimalist fashion in Sweden. Much of the inspiration comes from the surf culture and the bohemian lifestyle.
Who is your style icon?
– Juliette Lewis is an old favorite, Erin Wasson’s new with her cool southern touch and Lou Doillon with the contemporary rock star look.
How is a typical morning at your place? Do you dress in the first best you see or do you have planned since before?
– I plan if I know I’m about to do something special and will be short of time. On a typical day I wake up and throw on my safe cards, jeans, t-shirt and boots.
This summer we will find you at F12 on Mondays. What will happen there?
– Me and my girls, Yulia Lindberg and Rosa Gabriela Kamerlind, are runnings the club BLANC where we will hold art openings, fashion parties, record releases and a lot more fun! Include also good drinks, good music and great times!
Where do you prefer to shop?
– Vintage is always the favorite! Or sew on stuff myself when I usually are not satisfied with things as they are.
If you shop online, where do you go?
– American Free People, or Ebay is my big favorite!
What are the three absolute favorites in your closet right now?
– My Mexicana boots was love at first sight. My leather pants from H&M, I would easily be able to have on me every day and my black shiny t-shirt from Tiger is absolutely perfect.
If you had to be someone else for one day, who would it be and why?
– Oops difficult, now I have to answer something cool here… I probably would in that case choose to be Mick Jagger. On conditions that the Stones had an arena gig that day so I got to try to be a rock star and guy at the same time.
When it comes to your makeup bag – which is your favorite product?
– My bronzer from Bare Minerals. You get a nice glow and it does not appear that you wear it.

A week with Andreas Candy

A week with Andreas Candy, the 28-year-old from Stockholm, who is currently dating his reflection, inspired by Legolas and wishes to be Putin for a day.

Do you have any style icons?
– Rihanna is cool, but when it comes to fashion I’m not inspired by any specific person but of various elements between the universe and art. I change style and inspiration a few times a year. Right now, the hippie/indian-style is my favorite. Legolas in Lord of the Rings inspire me.
What is a typical morning for you?
– I hate stress in the morning, so I plan the day before what to wear. Most of the time I dress in a basic black outfit and then change for party.

I was born as an artist, I see myself as art.

What are your three favorites in your closet right now?
– My black long coat with hat, because it weighs a lot. I like heavy or tight things that makes me feel free when dressing off. Otherwise, my black “chill” pants and jacket from River Island is perfect as I’m often on the move.
Where do you go shopping?
– In other cities , often in vintage shops in London , Barcelona and New York. In Stockholm , I go to POP or Beyond Retro to find something unique. If I’m looking for something basic , I run past the H & M or Zara.
If you shop online, where do you go?
– I have just found a cool side of LA, the name joyrich.com.
How do you do to stand out?
– My focus is not to stand out. I was born as an artist, I see myself as art. People both love and hate what I wear, but I think when all comes around my style influence to greater tolerance for that we are all different.
What are your three most played songs right now?
– Lana Del Rey – West Coast , Skrillex – Ease My Mind and Indila – Derniere Danse .
If you could be anyone for a day, who would it be and why?
– Wow, what difficult … I would be Putin! The first thing I’d done was to resign and sign a contract to never again hold any position of power.
What is your favorite product in your makeup bag?
– My foundation from Maybelline .
